Neal Johnson: Hey, this is Neal with Now Property Investments. Today, I’m going to talk to you about how you understand if a home buyer is credible or not. You’ve gone through the point of understanding no, I just want to sell my home with a home buyer and I’m ready to get it off my hands because selling it with a realtor might take too long. How do I know that the home buyer can actually get the job done?
- Ask for References: If they don’t have anybody that they can refer you to in the past that they’ve worked with that can say, “Hey so and so knows how to get the job done and they did it right for me”.
- Ask for Proof of Funds: They have to show you some kind of way that the lender is able to purchase this home or they have cash on hand. If they can’t do that, then X them out. It’s not going to work.
- Check Online Reviews: Whichever home buyer that you’re looking to work with, go to Google and type in their name. If you go to Google and type in their name and their name doesn’t pop up, that’s a bad sign number one. Number two, if you go on there and you check out their reviews and they don’t have any reviews or the reviews are pretty bad, I probably wouldn’t go with them.
